Stinne: Kate Lanphear elsker danske piger – og hotdogs

Hvis du tjekker bare en lille smule modeblogs, så vil du vide hvem Kate Lanphear med den drengene, altid sort/hvide stil er.

Hvis ikke, så kan jeg fortælle at hun er moderedaktør på det amerikanske Elle og en af de mest hypede modemennesker for tiden, netop på grund af hendes cool, lidt rockede androgyne stil.

Hun var inviteret til Copenhagen Fashion Week for at se lidt nærmere på hvad dansk mode kan byde på, og jeg var så heldig at få en lille snak med hende:

Kates stil er kopieret i en uendelighed, på trods af at hun kun får i sort, hvidt og gråt.

We have heard you’re fond of the Scandinavian fashion blogs – why is that?

-What I find in the blogs-pfere are fashion worn in a real way. Everybody like a bit of fantacy, but like everyone else I get inspired by what other girls wear.

-There’s also great American blogs, but you have this cool factor. It’s about simple ideas executed in style, and you make it so effortless.

How would you characterize the Danish women?

-Drop dead gorgeous! I don’t think I have been to another country in the world with so many gorgeous girls. You are everywhere. My photographer can’t keep up – he’s so spoiled for choice. Your great sense of personal style has been the most inspiring part of the trip for me.

What three trends do you stand out the most this season?

-Honestly I don’t like to talk trends, it’s become less interesting. Every designer has had their unique expression and if I choose something I might ignore other equal important trends.

-I’m much more into curatoring the bits and pieces we like, making it about ideas and concepts more than specific colors or so.
